Chicken starter – Evening snack for kids

Chicken starter recipe: Whenever we go out for lunch or drinner, I noticed that my kid is more inclined to eating the starters than the main course. So I decided that on days when we buy chicken, I should reserve some portion of it for my kids evening snack… She really enjoys eating it… I’m sure most kids would like it. Mommys could try this out ….

chicken starter
250 gms boneless chicken (cut into small pieces)
1 tblspn maida
1 tblspn rice flour
1 tblspn besan flour
1/2 tspn ginger garlic paste
1/2 tspn chilli powder
1/2 tspn pepper cummin powder mix
1/2 tspn lemon juice
Pinch of turmeric powder
Salt to taste

  1. In a bowl, mix chicken pieces with chilli powder, turmeric powder, pepper cummin powder, ginger garlic paste, lemon juice, salt and marinate for 15-20 minutes.
  2. Just before frying, add all the flours – maida, besan and rice flour to the marinated chicken. Sprinkle water and mix well.
  3. Heat oil in a kadai and deep fry the chicken pieces to golden brown.
  4. Serve as evening snack for kids or as starter for the main course.
